Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist and currently competing within the UFC flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko, an experienced Muay Thai kickboxer, began her career in fight sport at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was victorious in this event in a unified victory against Suzane Miller. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007 and she also won a bronze medal in 2008, and a gold medal with gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion in 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia started her professional career in with her debut in 2003. She won the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight 2012 as well as the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko set the professional MMA record in 2002 during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She took the fight with a TKO after round 2. Her two subsequent matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko took a hiatus to focus on the sport of kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous vote before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She quit the club in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina made use of her formidable fighting abilities in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. After this win, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Strikes Finale in the fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight after winning the first fight by an unanimous decision. She earned the bonus fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three fights before losing the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
