Ashley Graham is a Nebraskan born. She was raised with her two younger sisters, and often was bullied at school because of her large thighs. In 2009, she appeared on the "Glamour Magazine" article "These Bodies are Beautiful at any size". Graham made headlines for the second time in 2009 as she appeared in a controversy-making Lane Bryant commercial that ultimately was banned in many countries. When the advertisement was pulled from YouTube, it had been watched by more than 800,000. The controversy grew uncontrollable, and she addressed it on the "Tonight Tonight Show" which was hosted by Jay Leno. Graham became famous quickly and has become the most well-known and popular plus-size model. Grande began singing and performing as a teenager. In 2008, Grande got a part on her first Broadway show 13 before she began to appear in TV roles of a smaller size. The role she played on Victorious, a Nickelodeon TV show, in the year 2010 was her first big breakthrough. She appeared as Cat Valentine, a teenager studying at a school for performing arts. She appeared in Sam & Cat, a spin-off show that ran from 2013 until 2014.
